Can anyone tell me where the barrel support goes on an 11-87 premier? I was cleaning a new to me 11-87 and this part fell out. Not obvious where it fits back, any help with where this part goes?

Thanks, and slightly embarrassed. Tried the schematics gif but no luck.

It clips to the action slide arms directly in front of the receiver. (left hand gun pictured same fitment)

It should be silver-soldered to the top of the magazine tube on the end inside the receiver.
If this soldered joint has failed, there is a good chance the rest of the solder joint securing the mag tube has failed or will also fail.
You would likely have to return the gun to Remington for a proper repair.

That makes sense, it is not a smooth part like there is solder residue. Not the answer I wanted to hear tho....

That part floats, it is not soldered to the receiver. If it was you would not be able to remove the action slide, carrier and bolt assembly. We are talking about the part I included a pic of?

Do you know of any good smiths in the Ontario area to look at this? This was a used older gun.

Agree. It is a job for a smith to put back into place
I have never seen one break away before
