Can’t remove the crush washer?

Hey,
Anybody ever have to remove a stuck crush washer?
Any tips on how to do it.

It wiggles around but won’t slide off.

I tryed cutters but it wouldn’t cut through.

Sounds like it squashed smaller then the thread size. Try to unscrew it with moderate rear pressure. Or bigger side cutters!! Good luck.

Ya,maybe a bigger pair of side cutters will do the trick.

A large pair of side cutters should do it. You can nip small amounts at a time if you can't cut through it in one go.

I would try unscrewing first. Once you start with big cutters and big pressure, you can start damaging things in the barrel or yourself.

Squeeze it in an alternating pattern with a set of pliers. Eventually the metal will fatigue and just break. A lot safer than trying to cut it off.

I’ll try squeezing it with pliers first.
There’s no way it’s unscrewing.

I had couple like this happen. It wont slide out no matter what. I was able to unscrew maybe a quarter way with hand but wont budge after. Here comes pliers to hold the washer more tightly to unscrew it. Yes it came off easy and no it did not damage the thread. I started to use a jam nut then on. Just as easy to install and is reusable.

I bought the Knipex 7401250SBA 10-Inch High Leverage Diagonal Cutters on Amazon. So far the score for Knipex vs crush washer is 3:0 LOL Btw the Knipex is also doing any of my mag spring 1 hoop trimming jobs too. So it is a multi-task tool

Dou just have to score it? Then twist it off?

I don’t think I could cut all the way through, without hitting the threads or shoulder.

I just did that to my BCL102, I just used a pair of wire cutting pliers made a few small nicks around the washer to weaken it enough to just twist it off.
