Are these out yet?

Not yet. I heard through the rumour mill that they wanted to see how the M16A1 went first before launching the XM-177E2.

They didn't want to launch one model, then a month later launch another model, and a month after that launch a different model.....and before they know it, nobody is buying the first model anymore....

Looking forward to the eventual launch of the XM-177E2 when it does happen though.

Looks like another 12.5" barrel to avoid the SBR red-tape, the wait and the tax-stamp. What a shame, as it totally ruins any authenticity the carbine might have had....

Pretty spendy. The Troy 50th Anniversary Commemoratives only cost $1500 CAD when Rampart was able to sell them.

Yup. Dont think they have a warehouse. I ordered something from them that was at the warehouse that would have came in the April import. But i didnt "make" the cutoff even though it was a week before the 15th. So now i am waiting till the May import.

They just do what every dealer does in the US and that's order from distributors. Their website is link up to their inventory. So when you order something off their website, it gets automatically ordered from various distributors. Most gun shop in the US don't carry much inventory because you can usually get next day delivery. In Canada most distributors only order between 1 to 4 times a year. If you look around the net you will find lots and lots of websites with the same template as IRG. If you actually go to some of these shops you will find out they are just some hole in the wall gun shop. I'm not knocking IRG, it's a good business model. Little to no overhead allows you to offer products at cheaper prices verses a brick and mortar store. I just don't understand the smoke and mirrors and the lies like $100 million in inventory. Who cares if your a internet based company that exist in cyberspace, but call a spade a spade. Rule #1 of sales is never lie to a custom, sooner or later it will come back to bite you in the butt.

I'd be very surprised if our RCMP Overlords and their CBSA Minions allow the Colt commemorative to be sold in Canada. After all, they share the same panty-wetting, evil engravings on the exterior of the lower receiver as the Troy carbines. You know - the exact same selector markings and Auto--Sear Pin hole as found on countless other AR15s already circulating within Kanada....

Actually if its a 16 barrel under a colt name, does it need another new frt? There has gotta be at least 8 to 10 different child frt for the "same-ish 16inch Colt Ar"

It is NOT a 16" barrel under Canadian law, it is a 12.5" with a welded muzzle device. Welded devices do not count for overall length under Kanuckistan's byzantine firearms laws.
