SK results are out

I was in super A as well. No idea why some people don't get drawn as I get something almost every year, but I'm flexible when it comes to zones.

Antlerless Mule Deer in 46, at least I get two tags, skunked on everything else but pronghorn.....I can feel it coming this year, hehe!

The legacy pool helps for now for guys like that. Me and a buddy both got elk this year out of legacy pool. I was 15 years and he was 13 years. They will have to do something like Alberta though because soon enough the legacy pool will begin to fill up.

My brother got a moose and muley buck draw....waiting on details as to where as I will likely head out to help him out. Looks like I can pick up a gamebird license / tags as a non-resident....?

I am sure that is significant.

I always apply for the maximum number of zones for each species. I have always been drawn for at least one, (usually antlerless mule deer), and as often as not in a somewhat inconvenient zone that I tossed into the list because I thought it wouldn't be a popular one.

Update: I have elk and mule deer, both antlerless, and both in zones I selected not for geographical convenience. I feel very fortunate. Two friends have drawn nothing. I wish for them to get antelope more than for myself.

Just got some good news. Zone 10 either ### for Mule deer. Can't wait for it. :)

Also drawn for 10 E/S Mule Deer.

We usually hunt South of Sceptre in Pastures just North of Great Sandhills.

The cull hunts and winters took their toll. I first hunted there in 2008 and population was great. Last hunt in 2013 was o.k but nowhere near as good as '08.

How is population now?.....haven't been back for 5 years.

Zone is good for mule deer. Even white tail is making a comeback. I hunt the area because I have access to a lot of farmland in the area. I hunted last year in 12 and got my deer in the first minute/day of the hunting season.
Make sure you ask farmers for access as they can be crispy at times.
