Remington emerges from Chapter 11

I think one of Remington's key problems is that their most popular products, the Models 700 and 870, are older designs that can't compete on the budget end of the market amymore without cutting drastic corners.

Glad the buggers made 'er through. Now maybe they can tweek the 783 line by putting alloy trigger guards & bottom metal on some models along with bring out a PRS & Varmint version for all us folks that want 'em. The 870 could be revamped by going with a rotary bolt head to barrel lockup like the Winchester 1200 or Benelli Nova system along with .775" bore barrels on the 12 ga guns to get better patterns with steel shot. A needed plus for us Trap shooters as well.;)

Their problem is they were saddled with debt by intent knowing full well that the company could recover.

Its good to hear anyways! I'm one of Remington's biggest critics and fan all at the same time. Maybe this will bring us back to the golden era of Remington.

Aww, that's too bad.

Lol yup my good ol' rusty boi 870. Did I ever show you the holes in the receiver being warped by the shell holder I have on it? Grease these boys down and keep silica in your safe.

They won't export their short barreled shotguns. You have to find a barrel/mag tube and do the frankenswap on a current 18.5" gun.

So by some miracle Remington somehow dissolved nearly $1 billion dollars in debt?? I'm not familiar with this chapter 11 stuff but I don't see nearly a billion dollars worth of debt just disappearing overnight..

If you're looking for an 870 with a 14 inch barrel I know at least two retailers carrying at least one right now not to mention countless on the EE. And plenty of loose barrels around.

There's a temporary export ban. More Remington SBS will come. It requires some patience.
