STI Spartan V FTE

Need help I have a Spartan V in 9mm, its not extracting after a couple shots. It leaves the shell half way inside the barrel. We have put the extractor on the tensioner already over night and still having the same issue. Im currently using mecgar mags

Also tried to install a caspian extractor on it, doesnt seem like it wanna fit.

Does it do it with all the mags or just one?

yes all mags, but all mec gar. i don't have any other mags to try currently

Yes sir im using remington umc 115 gr bucket. And yes the person i got the unit from is actually one of my boss. He bought it new and it fired flawlessly, kept for 2 years and then it starts having this failures

What weight recoil spring do you have in it?
Check the lips on the mags to make sure they are parallel and not wider towards the front and allowing the rounds to tip up.

thank you ill check it. the main spring is stock so im guessing 14-15lbs

I might have my head up and locked here but it sounds like the brass is being extracted but not ejected.

Close the slide on a piece of fired brass and slowly pull the slide back; see if you can find where exactly the extractor is letting go of the rim on the case. Secondly, get a look at the ejector and see if that is the culprit?

Have you tried putting a piece of fired brass into the chamber to see if it's tight? Is there something preventing the extractor from pulling that case out?

i will try to check on that sir later the unit is with TSE now im hoping to get it back today. Ill update. i hope its a simple fix
