how are the on these, the local crappy tire has a super sale on them and I may pick one up, how is the trigger on these?

They are quality rifles. My favorite in the price range. The Hawkeyes have good triggers, clean but not overly light. The old Mk II had pretty bad triggers, but were otherwise fine rifles.

M77 Rugers are as dependable as they come. The Hawkeye's LC6 trigger is decent, I have 3 of them and haven't bothered to adjust them, or upgrade to a Timney

Solid rifles... you can't go wrong. I prefer the MKII's with a DIY trigger job, but the LC-6 trigger is fine as is. The matte finish is not to my liking, but some models come with a true blued or polished stainless finish (eg. International or African). There is a very nice version of the African out now in 6.5X55.

Hawkeye Predator LSS in .204R is on my short list of possibilities for my next coyote rifle,I just wish it had a detachable mag or it would be a done deal.As it is,I'm trying to talk myself into living with the floor plate vs. my preference for a DM?

I have a M77 Hawkeye compact in 308 that is also gloss-blued. It - as are most of my Rugers - are as accurate as most "off the shelf" hunting rifles.
