Looks like thats your best bet. Lots of 18s 16s and 16.5s and 20s. No 18.5... lothar walther or one of the custom barrel makers can make you one. But odds are a faxon pencil chopped and recrowned would be your fastest bet if the 1.4 inches mean that much.

I'm not an expert either. But in the AR10 world many parts are universal. Some parts like mags are either Armalite or DPMS pattern. Arms east said these are DPMS pattern.
Kreiger offers AR10 barrel. Their website is informative.

Bits of things I bumped into on the interwebs:

1) Stag belongs to White Wolf Capital, a private equity group that seems to have been formed by former Cerberus folks who are implied to have disagreed with direction
2) White Wolf Cap owns : Aero Precision, Aero owns Ballistic Advantage (barrel maker), VG6, Stag, a bunch of Aerospace/Machining firms and Temping/IT companies ( https://www.whitewolfcapital.com/portfolio.html )

So one could say is that Stag is fully integrated.
 
Really a sign of the times when 6.5 is being brought in before .308’s.

I’ll buy the receiver set and put a carbon wrapped .308 18.5” barrel on myself.

This makes sense, the 6.5 barrels are already beyond 18.5" in length.

I note that Fulton Armory carries 18.5 inch barrels in 308 for AR10, the barrels are made by Criterion, just like for the M14/M1A. Fulton has said many times that 18.5 is a sweet spot for 308 in their opinion.

It would be impolite of me to link here where you can find a Canadian "source". My worry is that 18.5 may be too short, and they do not post length in "mm".

My take has been to order a 20" Faxon pencil for now. It should be adequate accuracy for my needs, and it weighs very little. I know of at least 2 different means to get that barrel in Canada.

Honestly, my hope that Arms East gets Stag (Ballistic Advantage?) to expedite 18.6" barrels. BA barrels are always seen as "great value for money".

Because the only reason some of us bought the 102 stripped set was to have a NR AR10. Now that a better and cheaper option is availible why would I keep parts from a company that dosent belive in QC that shills their products and dosent care about consumers.

This is why I sold my Gen 1 stripped set for 600 shipped. The Gen 2s should be even cheaper since they suck even more.
