can you go to a range and try out/rent/test/play with a full auto?? I know there is a place in Vegas that does this but I won't be visiting there. I would love to try an MP 5, Uzi, .....

Not sure about full auto.... In Fresno, CA. there is an indoor range that will rent you a variety of handguns and sell you ammo to shoot at their club. All you need is a drivers licence. Out of towners (Canadians) were/are welcome.

The club was affiliated w/ S&W but I think it's now private. Can't remember the name but it's across the street from the back side of Cosco.

All I know is California has some messed up gun laws...although they are not nearly as messed up as ours...

I don't know about that. Permanently fixed magazines seems more stupid than our stupid laws.

I'm not concerned about the handguns ... got the toys here .....
But there has to be a place somewhere in California that will let you blast off a few mags on full auto for a price ?????

Don't go to California for that, it's a waste of time and money.
Try to find a similar place in Ontario or Quebec, it will have equal chances of success with California:D

If you are in SoCal, the range, well, the range I used to shoot at that was non mil, was in Escondido, cannot remember what the name was, but it was in an industrial area. As far as other ranges, think I have shot on every range on CamPen.... :)

California is one State that does not permit individual civilian ownership of "machine guns".
It is possible, however, that a business, either a movie supply house or a Class 3 Dealer, may offer rental.
I'm not aware of any.

You can't, California is really tough on MGs, even Class 3 FFLs can't have them unless they have a written order from an LE agency. Movie businesses can have them with a special permit but they cannot be capable of firing live ammo (although they do, haha).

There's a lot of stuff banned in California that's legal in Canada, like AR-15s.

I sold my Calico M950 to a guy in Los Angeles and the paperwork he sent me to show he could legally own it was intense. FFL, California business licence for firearms, "assault weapons" permit, "large capacity magazine" permit, etc.

Class 3(MG's etc) firearms are evil in CA. You can't even have the ammo for a Russian 14.5mm in a collection. No trace either.

Theres a range right downtown Burbank,
cant remember street name but its near the Holiday Inn on Olive st.
Nothing full auto but they rent Handguns and .22 s Prices aren't to bad.

California's gun laws are even more screwed up than ours, and that's with the US Second Amendment!!! My elderly Aunt moved out to Camarillo from Ft. Lauderdale, FLA a few years back after the death of her husband. Both she and my uncle had been target shooters and gun "people." I got some new toys when California laws prevented her from bringing most of their collection with her. Just wish I could've afforded to get their massive Browing gun safe shipped north!

The funny thing is, even though there are numerous & often idiotic restrictions on the legal ownership of firearms in California, it remains one of the most violent states, with illegally owned handguns a hardcore part of inner-city, "gangsta' culture". Disarm the law-abiding gun owners, while the criminals continue to ignore those same laws...then when two teenage gang-bangers kill each other with their "Gat 9s"...blame the guns & not the shooters!

WANT TO SHOOT FAs go to Vegas a number of places there rent almost anything you desire....

And the slots are fun too....
