The Stag 10s NR stripped receiver set thread

I'm under the impression that the Canadian version of this rifle/receiver set is actually different from the US version.

Although the Stag 10 is being marketed as a CDN version I can't see there being any differences between the "US" and "CDN" receivers.

Yes, some of the rifle models will most likely have a few "features" (furniture, barrel length or contour etc...) that are specific to the "CDN" Stag 10.

However, I just can't see that Stag would make a "different" or "redesigned" receiver just to suit the tiny Canadian market.

I'm no expert but I think it's safe to say there is NO difference in the receivers themselves. I would say this is confirmed by the fact that IRG is also importing them.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Its an XCR wouldn't touch one with a 10' pole now.

Although my XCR-M has been dead nuts reliable and is not as inaccurate as the interweb make them out to be I will now have to concur with your statement.

I have a pretty good feeling my XCR-M will now be neglected, if not forgotten.

There is no comparison between an AR type rifle and an XCR

Wrong, from what I heard from Arms East is that Uppers and Lowers will not interchange with US Stag 10, minor changes to get NR FRT.

Nice!

Wow you guys see that IRG will bring these in for 125$ cheaper... I wonder if Arms East will adjust the price.

yeah I also saw they directly ripped the description and image from Arms east also.

I'll stick to arms east for actually doing the work here and not riding on the coat tails like IRG always seems to do

Actually that image is from the Stag website. Coat tails ? They just dont charge the NR tax. And yet it looks like they still make money.

It is appreciated. A large difference is that we aren't pretending that we 'just received' ours. Another is that our orders will actually get filled by the factory. US Exporters trying to sign up as dealers today and place order to cut Stag Arms out of a market they want... Not so much. Stag Arms wants these on CDN dealer shelves as much as we do.

actually yeah, wrong about the image.
beyond that though, how is it when something in marginally more expensive from another company its just "NR tax" when actual examples of NR tax exist like North Sylva and the M10X

actually yeah, wrong about the image.

www.stagarms.com/stag-10-upper-lower-combo it's all the same picture.

NS went over CanAms head and got sole distribution. Thats greasy.

Either way 100$ for some people is a big deal. But you are right AE did do the work and will keep my order with them. I just wished I would of waited a couple of days before jumping on the bandwagon ... Would of saved me 100$... lol..

Lol !!! You're one sick bstard (in a good way).
Lego ain't got #### on you hahaha.

I'll stick with my AE order even though I didn't get in at the initial $635 receiver price... I'm assuming you guys put work in to get the FRT and managed to pull it off without whipping CGN into a frenzy before you knew it would get passed.

If they leaked the news ahead of time, it also would have hurt the sales of other NR black rifles while people waited for the Stag, but they didn't do that either. This is essentially the opposite of the pre-order mentality and using people's hype to help fund the effort, I can appreciate that.

BCL doesn't deserve that courtesy. When the 102 receiver sets were announced it was stated several times that it was a one off run. Obviously to drum up more business. A few months later they're available again.

Very poor business practices and SFRC was along for the ride on that one.
