The Stag 10s NR stripped receiver set thread

I like your style ;)

now , can I get two receiver sets with consecutive serial numbers? thinking of a his n hers matching set

Lesson learned after a certain rpd...

Great to see you coming back with a vengeance AE! plus at a price that will allow you undercut protection against I R G. (This is not a against or for comment on another business, just a fact)

Oh God, thanks!

Stag Arms are aware of how CDN pricing is going to have to work to put guns on dealer shelves. They've been a huge help. It's not just the AR10s either, there is a lot of good with Stag Arms AR15 coming down the pipe these days. Great configs and quality that go toe to toe with their neighbors with the Pony, at a great value. We definitely hope to see a lot more Stag AR15s on CDN dealer shelves in the coming months.

Some people would sell out their Mother's out for a dollar. Hopefully the Mothers are safer these days.

Mothers are safe, but the semi-auto 308 market just ben sucker punch from a blind spot! They've ben put on notice and there thoot haven't hit the ground yet!

You might just have put Robinson arms out of business. Do a search for xcr just for fun. There only market is Canada there price are going up every year and there now in the 3 grands. Now there 308 are effectivly obsolete! They would need to sell for 1500-1700$ to sell and the retail is twice that!

With what I am guessing the 308 stag price will be the ever retarded bcl in the infamasy of its many theeting and qc problems will flood and drown the EE.

At rs will need ti react if it wants to keep churning out its boutique 308.

The rfb might be save buy its bullpup configuration(I know I will be keeping mine) but sales will surely be affected.

The norc m14 might fly under the radar due to price but the SA m1a will surely be affected also.

Will BCL lower its(whatever its call now 102) to 1400-1500$ to save it... will RA go under...........

.....to follow!

How long until DILLIGAF treats AE like crap the same way he went after the BCL dude???

If I saw his name come up on an order I would refund his money, not worth the headache. It was so nice of him to try and order from the states to save $100. Great way to support Canadian retailers who put in time and money bringing NR rifles into Canada.

Definetly in for a receiver set. will be a slow build so the wife doesn't pickup on funds being "Redirected" :p.

Then again, if I get her firing my 590 maybe she`ll change her tune.

Wow you guys see that IRG will bring these in for 125$ cheaper... I wonder if Arms East will adjust the price.

so $410 USD +25 shipping works out to about $590. Plus, IRG also has a variable shipping from Canada warehouse. In end it may be less than $100 diff.

I say go with ArmsEast. They deserve the extra $50 and have earned it.

I ordered a lower and upper kit with the bcg and geiselle ch, but I'm also keeping my BCL for shooting surplus ammo and just having fun.
My stag will be a precision rifle build, I've always wanted to purchase a stag but I have too many AR15s right now so really I didnt see the need.

The being said I wonder if the stag bcg will fit in my bcl

Yes, both BCGs are DPMS pattern. FWIW the main difference should be just the barrel nut threads. Armalite on BCL and DPMS on the Stag. If you bought an aftermarket handguard for your BCL, you could buy just a new DPMS barrel nut and swap them over in a lot of cases (like the SLR).

I was going to switch everything wholesale to my Stag but that G1 BCL handguard is so heavy I cant bring myself to put it back on. My BCL was luckily an excellent G1 sample (serial number is single digit, probably had some QC) and shot great stock, so I'll hang on to it.

So as a guy who has zero experience with the AR10 platform, if I wanted to build a retro C7A1-style in .308, is it possible? Can I get a reasonably lightweight 20" .308 barrel with rifle-length gas, the C7-style front sight/gas block, handguard retainer... and will an AR15 handguard fit?

Find a DPMS delta ring/barrel nut assembly, handguard cap, and a barrel with a pinned FSB. The last part is the tricky one - you could buy a Faxon 20" barrel with 1.9" gas block journal and have a gunsmith drill/pin the FSB on because it's not a job for a kitchen table gun assembler.
