Czech BXN marked stuff is hotter than any other comblock x25 ammo. And definitely hotter than soviet ammo. Generally 1750 fps for BXN vs soviet 1400 fps. This is well known fact. This was done because czech army were forced to adopt x25 caliber and due to this their firearms were designed for hotter load to function reliably.
So no myth there its just plain truth.

I went through a box of the Czech BXN a few years back in my T33 & it hit 1700+ fps over the Chrony easy enough. Great load fer impressing folks at dusk & nicely accurate, but to save beatin' on yer T33's, stick with the 1400 fps stuff.

As for CZ52 - design known to be less robust than TT-33.
Many times it was mentioned on reloaders and collectors forums, that there's no such thing as "hot SMG czhech 7.62x25", that S&B is more powerful, and that CZ52 is prone to break (especially with S&B).

I can't speak for the velocity of different factories rounds as I have never chronographed them but I have spent many many hours researching the CZ52 and TT33. I will never own a CZ52 even though I collect CZ. In my opinion and in the opinion of others that have thoroughly tested both to destruction, the CZ52 is a poor and weak design. Myth seems to have dominated fact in this case. Ironically it is the roller lockup design that many point to their strength even though this aspect of the design weakens the chamber as it removes material from it. it is this part of the firearm that often fails.

Those that have tested them to destruction have commented that the CZ52 was one of the only firearms where the barrel failed before the brass on more than one test which is particularly alarming as this is highly unusual.

The TT33 on the other hand, may be very crudely made depending on it's country and time of manufacturer but the barrels have been proven to handle extreme loads under the same destructive testing. The simpler design of the TT33 is one of its strengths.

I still shoot my bxn stash, but sparingly. I bought lots of other x25 surplus, like Polish, Russian and Chinese. None of them come close to flame, power and umpf of Czech bxn. I love this round.
I wish that we continue to have this round in the future and at affordable prices.
