Hunting Mountain Goats in the Winter.

That is 100% badazz... I passed out after watching the first 5 minutes... that was a well deserved trophy. Well done.

Sorry but I stayed with the boat and went fishing instead! ;)

Great video! Incredible to be able to perform a 575 yard shot in good conditions never mind those conditions. I’m in awe of the entire hunt. Congratulations to you and your buddies.

Thanks for the positive feedback all! Mountain Goats are an incredible species -- the terrain and climate that they can thrive in is literally inhospitable to all but Wolverines for a good chunk of the year. The combination of gnarly terrain, scenery, temperatures, and a sh!t ton of snow makes for a pretty memorable hunt. Makes August Stone Sheep hunting feel like a walk to the treestand ;)

So you chose to take on the most difficult hunting North America has to offer, then increased that difficulty ten fold by going into the mountains in the winter. And you were successful! Talk about raising the bar! Well done.

Followed this on Instagram, had no clue it was a fellow CGN'er...Awesome story man!

Not incredibly active on here these days, but I do poke my head in for some casual reading, or gun browsing ;)

Thanks Boomer, appreciate the kind words. It won't be the last time I hit the hills in the winter -- drew another late season goat tag on the North Coast for this year :)
