damn this whole thing, and the behavior of people on the internet, reminds me of why I closed the doors to my firearms business hahaha I don't regret that decision for 1 second.

July 5th for stuff to start arriving? sounds good I better get that order in eh?

So true... like spoiled children in need of a smack upside the head.

Just thinking. ...if I were to buy a Stag 10 complete for the purpose of hunting. What would I actually gain compared to my 102.
As it stands now my 102 will shoot most 150 sst loads into about 1 inch groups at 100 meters as well as some 178 ELD-X loads .
Is the Stag really going to do any better?

Most reviews I've found on the Stag 10 in 308 point to it being a 1.5 moa gun. The 6.5 Creedmoor seems to shoot a whole lot better, usually no more than 1 moa. This, of course, is only what I've read on the interweb. Time will tell.

If you're happy with the 102 I don't see any reason to sell it just because of this. However keeping the 102 and also buying the Stag makes perfect sense to me. Ya can never have too many....

The Stag is simpler in it takes all DPMS standard parts aside from the upper/lower and take down pins.

The Stag also has the forward assist, traditional looking shell deflector, doesn't require butchering of an aftermarket charging handle and is from a reputable company.

The BCL is great if you like the configuration it comes in and now would be the time to buy as the EE has been flooded with deals lately.

For me the Stag is more aesthetically pleasing and easier to source parts for so it wins.

At the end of the day they both sling lead.

One just slings it more reliably without breaking as many parts over time.

Spoiled children don't have thousands of dollars to waste on a silly hobby.

Waste or invest?

I agree with you, however as adults we are expected to behave to a higher standard, not b*tch and moan when a company doing their best to get us what we want doesn't reply immediately or instantaneously reply to every question fielded off the cuff. My point here is the Stag 10s is coming... it may be a few days, hell even a week; but its coming from the folks who have been THE Stag importer for the last ten years. If people want to get on here and cry about a few days delay and threaten to go to the "other guys", so be it, I just figured the majority of us as a community had a little more class than that.

All the best and tight groups.

We aren't children or adults. We are consumers. If retailers want our hard earned money, they have to earn it. In the end, we decide who imports what with where we spend our money. The more people ##### about delays, the less delays we'll have.

Yeah, you go with that.

Just attempt to have a little respect in Arms East's forum... if that's not to much to ask between dictating what they will import and when they'll do it...

nope.... from where I sit that is nothing more than showing a sense of entitlement.
Bottom line is..... don't like the price, don't like the wait, don't like the way a company presents themselves? This is a free country, go shop elsewhere it's that simple.
there's a decent #####nmoan thread in the main battle rifle forum though.

No need to pay attention to him...if he thinks posting comments or voicing opinions from potential customers are childish behavior...he is not much better ...but ya...maybe bugging a company for sale events is much better in his mind than asking for sale prices in his mind.

Nicely done, but perhaps you should have asked me first, then I could have told you that I have a good business relationship with NM and had a chat with Cathy of NM on the phone prior to my posts, but good on ya, you really showed me...

There is a stout difference between a friendly ribbing between a known customer and a business vs being outright rude and ignorant and... wait for it... childish on a vendors forum; but hey have at 'er buds... you win the internet.

The Stag 10 rifles listed in 308 all seem to have Chrome lines barrels and not Stainless steel accuracy barrels. The 6.5 CM Stag 10 however list stainless steel barrels.

Will the Stag 10 shoot better than a 102 with the same barrel and trigger? Not likely. But.. I still want a Stag 10 as well.

Federal Lake City 7.62×51/308 149 grain, is it to light of a.round for a 1in10 twist. For those of us that do not reload is this rifle even worth buying to run military ball ammo through it?

Most 30-06 run a 1-10 twist and 150s shoot well out of them. I can't imagine that it would be any different. The quality of the ammunition will affect it more

That's what I noticed as well which explains the accuracy difference between calibers. The 308 is geared towards guys who want hunting rifle accuracy or want to blast away with cheap ammo. There is no need for a high end barrel for either purpose.

The 6.5 CM Stag 10 however list stainless steel barrels.

And without it actually being confirmed, (that I've been able to find anyways) I would hazard a guess and say that the stainless 6.5 CM barrel is made by Ballistic Advantage. Both the 22" and 24" seem to be the exact same contour and specs as the BA barrel. Not to mention that given Stags affiliation with BA and Aero it would make perfect sense to use the BA barrel.

If I'm correct in my assumption that the 6.5's are using a BA barrel I think people buying one of these guns are going to be rather impressed. BA makes an extremely accurate barrel for the money.

Some confirmation from Stag or AE on who makes these barrels would be appreciated.
