Cheapest Lever 22?

The Henry lever action is good, just about the smoothest action available & is relatively inexpensive.

Winchester no longer build the 9422 or much else for that matter.

Marlin is still building their model 39. It's a very good gun but somewhat pricey compared to the Henry.

Any of the above mentioned rifles can be scoped.
 
The browning Lever .22 is the better one, fast lever & compact but pricy$$
For an economy model, the Henry version starts at $289.00
 
Yep, the Henry is a lot of rifle for very little money. Marlin and Browning are both a notch above, but cost substantially more than the Henry.

You can't go wrong with a Henry. Buy one, you will never regret it.
 
i have a henry and a 39 goden A mounty.

there is nothing that comes close to the 39 a , but the henry is second.

stay away fron Globe or Norinco, or whatever those hideous "saddle guns" are calling thenselves. If it's cheap, and not a henry or a marlin, run away from it.

There was a few 39 a's for sale here last month or so ago, and I know for a used one now,

He's not spending $1,500 on a rifle it's a $289 Henry.

Nope, wasn't me. I did the review on the bolt action Nork that looks like a mini K98.
Just bought a Henry lever myself off the EE. Can't wait to get her.

how firm can you cycle the action on the Henrys? Some .22s are like toys...you don't have to be gentle with it do you?
Are they rather impervious to jams?
How easy do they come apart for cleaning?

Who else has a short CGN handle with special characters? I'm close on the name, I can feel it. Maybe it was Ronin? This is gonna keep me up tonight.
