It's hard to say what kind of variation is present throughout the cases. Notice that there are now three online stores you can purchase these rifles from, who knows who got the best batch.
 
One down, 3 to go, i have to say, i think this rifle was build , test fire, and dip into cosmoline, first time shes out since 1969, heres some pics, cleaned only with the help of the sun…

mines a 1977 and it is an arsenal refurbed one.excellent shape overall but refurb numbers and some wierd electropencil marks.
like poster above barrel lug underneath is non matching.comes with the cleaning kit in the buttstock.
i would say it's lightly used but refurbed to new condition.

p.s. to the yugo experts here are these night sites phosphor. or tritium?
I'm thinking phosphor. because when i shine light on them they'll glow a bit but not for long...

I believe they made some phosphor and some tritium depending on the year

I guy just try to sell on EE one Yugo SKS for 650$.
 
Thank you trade-ex for bringing these in. I finally cleaned the layers of cosmo off mine yesterday. Underneath was a exceptional SKS. This thing is in fantastic shape and has been lightly if at all used. Can’t wait to shoot it. Nicest SKS I have ever owned
 
Received mine, got a good look at it and noticed the front sight is missing a good chunk of bluing. Not sure if the orange is from rust or the cosmoline (hoping it's cosmoline).

Edit: On further examination it does appear to be rust on the inside where the front site post is, and just a chunk of bluing loss with only minor rust on the inside of the site ring.

Quite a few on EE are not too thrilled about this whole thing. They seem to be reasoning condition.
 
Just opened my second rifle. I was so impressed with the first one I received from this order that I immediately ordered a second (just did not open the box until this now), I am not sure which gun is nicer. Numbers matching from what I could see. The first may have been taken out and used once on a sunday the second looks non-issued. Thanks Trade Ex.... Very pleased
