New WK180-C

I’d be really interested in the 7.62x39 version.

Would a restricted version be possible? Would it take 7.62x39 AR barrels?

If you rebarrelled it to 7.62x39 you'd have to source a bolt that would fit the carrier.

A restricted version is only a short barrel install amd a call to the cfo away.

And then wait for the frt evaluation.

I just picked up a bolt release upgrade for the WK-180c from RWA. They have them on sale in limited quantities. Should be a good upgrade for me wk180 when she finally gets here.

How do you know if there will be enough clearance inside the 180c frame?

I was never particularly bothered by the lack of a hold open when I was shooting the 180C this weekend. It locks up on an empty mag, and if you really need to lock the bolt open you can reach inside the mag well and push up on on the hold open with a finger.

RWA said it's designed to fit the 180b-2 so as long as the wk180 runs the same bolt catch the new catch and release should work great. Worth the chance for me.

Well...???

As far as the Kodiak rep said, we had our hands on the production version. Medium weight barrel and A2 flashhider, solid feeling handguard with MLOK, no rattle in the receiver and the charging handle didn't feel like it would snap off (and I didn't baby it).

The trigger left a lot to be desired, but that's a standard unit so I can drop anything in, same with the selector switch, they used a lower profile switch than I'd prefer. The bolt felt like it ran a bit rough, but through use and some polishing, should run perfectly fine.

This was my experience, they did have some stoppages throughout the day, but chances are that was ####ty mags.

This is what I would eventually like to have. It would be a ton of work though...
