o/u choice?

cannot get baikal due to globalists' sanctions on Russia

I have a Beretta SV10 Perrenia in 20g with 28 inch barrels. It fits me better than any shottie i have ever owned and points like it is an extension of my body. It does have ejectors but there is a selector to chose between manual (acts like a standard extractor) or automatic ejection.

I must be a unique and delicate flower. I have a couple of 725s, and a 686, and all of them fit me perfectly. I prefer the 686 SP1 sporting for sporting/skeet, and the 725 Trap for trap.

Thanks,
Cal.

Cal. That can actually make sense, I'm getting ready to upgrade, Beretta 686 SP1 and the new Winchester 101 fit me like a glove, the Browning 425 trap, Citori Crossover and the CX I tried are stocked high for me. For skeet and sporting you want a flat shooting gun and trap you want a gun that patterns above line of sight, which explains why the combination you have works for you. I will point out for what it's worth, none of the guns I tried had adjustable combs on them, that option could change the dynamic again.

I went with a Beretta SV10 Perennia III in 12g with 26" barrels. It fits and that is the important thing!

Cheers
Jay

For what it's worth both my 725 Trap, and 725 Sporting have adjustable combs. The 686 SP1 Sporting does not, and neither does my A400. I love them all!

Thanks,
Cal.

I'm curious Jay, how tall are you? 26" seems quite short for myself at 5' 10". I'm running two 32", and two 28", though one of those 28" is the A400, that due to the long receiver is the same length as my 32"-ers.

Thanks,
Cal.

If you had to pick a 686 or a Citory which model would you pick to shoot both trap and skeet? I kniw thats a compromise . Assuming both seem to fit which should a person pick? The different models of each are a bit comfusing

Ok....received my 686 Silver Pigeon 1 yesterday....love the gun!

So next question is who is the go to shop for shotshell reloading and which press should I buy?

Spend your money on flats of factory ammo . As there is no real savings for loading 12 ga target loads . However there is some savings if your loading for 16ga 28ga and the 410 .

I'm a big fellow with a broad face. I shoot Beretta's pretty well. Winchester 101's ok with some face slap and Brownings not well at all. My clays gun is a Citori 32" SX Skeet with the comb a 1/4" to the right and that is perfect.

What's the cost to reload 12 gauge target rounds?

Federal 12 gauge field/target 1 1/8 oz, 7.5 shot, 3 dram loads from my local Walmart are costing me 37.07 for a box of 100. Can I reload for less?

In general, no. You cannot reload 12 gauge using modern component prices and save vs. bulk buys of preloaded. But you can do a lot better than Walmart for factory ammo. For instance: https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/for...-Gauge-Target-Load-65-case-up-to-25USD-REBATE!
Where reloading is a money saver is if you shoot .410, 28 ga., or 16 ga. Or in my case 12 ga. 2 1/2"

Shop around you should be able to find flats ( 10 boxes or 250 shells ) for round $ 65 a flat . Federal top gun , challanger or remington gun clubs for slightly more . Powder .shotshell primers and lead prices have all increased and the savings is not there for 12ga target loads .
