Im very interested in the cerakoted 92S for sale by Westernmetal. What are your experiences with them, I'm looking for a straight reliable shooter.

Thanks.

Don't own a 92S but have owned 92SB and FS. Other than the mag catch on the lower grip, it's a great reliable gun.

Cons would be like any other Beretta 92. Wider grips, fixed front sights, potentially heavy DA trigger and the Euro mag release.
I would recommend running the rails wet for a normal gun but with the Cerekote, it might be fine.

I bought both styles, albeit from a different retailer, when I saw how nice the first one turned out (Graphite Black). They look great, and seem to shoot fine. The sights are useless, but maybe it's just me. Harder to source mags if you want or need more than one.

Have had a Beretta 92 with heel mag release before & also a couple more modern ones with button release by trigger guard. While no longer enamored by any Beretta 92 the heel mag release was a pain. For that kinda money, I'd pass on it.

I have never shot one but I can't imagine the mag release would be nearly as functional for fast changes. 92A1 is my vote, 92FS as a close second. Look for used on the EE.

too late y'all I threw down last sunday. just waiting for the transfer now. I will enjoy it. I get a lot of enjoyment from a surplus gun that has a story to tell. some will agree some will disagree, The heel release doesnt bother me. I fiddled with it in the store long enough to know, I learned to pistol shoot on a ruger Mk1 Which had a heel mag release. I really dont think this will be a problem
