I've been wanting to do a takedown conversion to a couple lever actions, can't say it's a matter of need over want, but that's not an unfamiliar concept around here I'd say.
Thinking about ordering some CNC'd parts from china for a 94, similar to what's in the thread link at bottom.
Components would involve a replacement plug with pin, the magazine follower and the aluminum block that is against the receiver. I've sent a little bit of info off for quotes, but cost is less in multiples.
Would anyone be interested in a kit here? You can see how much work would be involved by a gunsmith once the components are available, the aluminum block would be cut large and then filed down to match your receiver profile, probably just a couple millimeters.
If I got a decent price for machined parts, do you folks think you'd be interested? This isn't a pre-sale or offering, just a question of wether there would be interest. Maybe I'd see about getting them to cut some lever loops too as a package.
Also thinking about 99's but I'll leave that for another day.
Your thoughts?
