If you want to turn your AR15 upper into a CCS gun now is the time. You get a complete CCS lower plus the bolt carrier with the bolt, firing pin etc installed. They are available in Black, Cold War Grey, FDE, ODG and Burnt Bronze. While supplies last.

$399.95

Hey Ryan,
Thanks for the great deals. I have purchased a Cold War grey upper and lower off you quiet some time ago. Do you happen to have any matching hand guards for it? If not no worries I’ll send a black one out to get matched the same. Thanks

Hey Steers, I remember that. I did the same thing, so if possible, make that two Cold War Grey handguards please, Ryan.

Thanks.

The CCS stock ends up about 3/8" of an inch shorter when it is collapsed than the ambi model. Usually people don't want it 3/8" shorter :)

Ryan

True, but it also doesn't engage the closed cut-out area because it is 3/8" out, so it's always loose. As it doesn't engage with the ambi controls, I can fully extend my CCS stock by just pointing the barrel at the sky and pulling the gun downward quickly, don't have to touch the CCS stock itself. OK for the range, but not good if you actually need it for a real tactical engagement or need the stock to stay in place.

CCS stocks don’t lock closed, its held closed by friction and gravity. It only locks open. That being said there was a model made 5 or so years ago that locked shut but it was quickly discontinued as it was difficult to deploy the stock.

True again, but there is still an area on the CCS stock that is indented so the stock can't just open without some force being applied; with the ambi control in the way, the stock does not slide into the indented area, and is always loose. If I take the ambi control out or put the CCS on another build, I have to use physical force to move the stock from the closed postion - not the case if the ambi is in. Problem is, with the ambi control out, it screws up the normal operation of the bolt release.

I know, I have one, I speak from experience. Like the stock otherwise, but I'll be keeping an eye out for a burnt bronze non-ambi version in the future.
