Picked this up in a collection
It’s in rough condition as you can see but bolt moves freely and it caulks and fires.
Any value in the way it sits?

Bolts are always worth something to those in need.
Had one years ago.
Neat old rimfire.
I remember using me tumb to open and close the bolt.
Might even be a trigger guard 'round'ear sumplace.

Yes definitely a neat old 22
Wish I had the skills to restore it.

This would be a good winter project if you don't value your time, I would build new stock, reblue or just clean the metal , depending on the condition .
One of the fellow I know redid one of these and it turned out 100%.
pull the tape off, maybe it is fixable.

I agree with pulling off the tape and have a looky sea what's under there.
If you don't have much invested into the old fossil, I'd toss up a WTB in the EE
and see if there is a stock out there in the waiting for a new owner.
I'd also call WGP's and see if one is in stock (tee-hee) there?
