buyer beware chiappa 1873 .22LR

1. Using vice grips on a new gun and then whining on the internet when you break it does not make said gun crap
2. Referencing one or two websites that have a negative opinion of said gun means nothing as they could be written by the type of person that did point #1.
3. Throwing the retailer under the bus for a manufacturers issue? What would you expect of the retailer now? You just pissed all over them, they owe you zero fawks now.
4. With any single action revolver that shoots either 22 or black powder... they are know to be very dirty. I read up on the google machine also. I found lots of happy people with their cheap new revolver. People that knew the pin needs to be kept clean.
5. Doesn't make all Chiappa products craptacular. I have an 1892 that is a beautiful piece of art... that is fully functional and reliable

Not sure what this issue has to do with Frontier.
I have had mine for 2 years and have had no issues, it's obviously not a Ruger... The reviews online kind of sum up the quality of it and so does the price.
No regrets buying mine, love it for the price.

This exactly - people dont read reviews before they buy? This isnt a Frontier Firearms problem. This is a Chiappa garbage problem.
If you want a inexpensive 22lr SAA revolver - get a Heritage rough rider or pay up and get the rugers.
I bought a few things from Frontier Firearms - they are great.
Don't believe it's Frontier's fault, and at that price I was suspicious about throwing my money away.
Read some reviews and it's hit or miss. Seems your pistol missed. Glad I stayed away and put it in my "too good to be true" category.

.....BTW i agree with others here....nothing to do with Frontier really, more a case of Caveat Emptor.

I'm one of those weird people who bought both a M1-22 and the M1-9, I was willing to put up with some of the quirks since it looked cool and was really cheap.
I'm not that disappointed that for a <$500 9mm PCC that it has some problems because the next option up at the time was a keltec sub2k $800, a JR carbine $1000 or a CX4 $1200. But with the FX-9 $900 and the Ruger PC9 $800 now available it gets harder to justify the M1-9 unless you really like the look.

It was still Frontier selling these POS. If I was a retailer I wouldn't want that crap anywhere near my customers. I believe there are few shops selling them. Maybe there's a reason?
I would think the reason is they are cheap. People like cheap. If you're not selling it, someone else will and you're just losing money...
Then again, a few retailers won't touch the m10x now, and they're worth a hell of a lot more than this gun...
I've had mine to the range and the only issue that I have with it is that the barrel leaded up something fierce in the 250-300 rounds shot that day. That speaks to my ammo choice much more than the gun itself doesn't it? It was bulk Remington golden bullets and there was 1 round that needed a second strike to fire... again, speaking more to the ammo than the gun. It otherwise worked great. 1st pistol I've ever owned so my grouping was only about minute of pie plate at 15-25 yards
