Tactical weapons question

It usually involves pistol, shotgun and carbine. The targets also vary alot as do the props which may include walls, doors, cars (plywood) etc.

These matches seem to be more popular, or just allowed by clubs, more out your way than here in Ontario.

Thanks for your help & info. I'm starting to get an idea of what goes. An inkling actually, and there's 20 inklings to a clue so as I've said, starting. Are or is there anything in the way of a vido clip of aspects of a shoot? Its the 'picture's worth a thousand words' concept. Thanks again.

You're on Vancouver Island. You may want to inquire with some of the local shooting clubs about matches. Nanaimo F&G hosts 2 & 3 gun matches as does the Malahat range. There is lots of info on forums on this site as well
as other websites. Thunder Ranch holds courses on various types of
"Tactical" firearm use. The limit is relative to the imagination. Regards.

Step # 1, 'we' can start by dropping the Mr. bit. I used to belong to the Naniamo F&G, primarily involved in the handgun shooting. I have heard the Malahat range has 2 & 3 gun shoots but it's been a while since I've shot at Naniamo and wasn't aware they had anything along that line there. Oh, these 2 & 3 gun shoots, are they Cowboy Action type shooting or actual more along the lines of tactical courses and equipment?
 
They are definitely not of the cowboy action shooting persuasion. An interesting occurence though was that I watched a competitor with a scoped Tikka sporting/hunting rifle clean up on a field consisting of ARs, FNs an
accurized M-14 or an M1A and a Bluestar. A really impressive performance from an off-the-shelf bolt gun. This guy cleaned the A-zone on all his targets
out to 175m and fast too! The self -loaders many times didn't even stay on
the scoring area let alone A-zone.

Sounds like a good shooter. I bet he didn't fire near as many rounds either!! Wait a minute, that's part of why I shoot the matches....I still win!! :rockOn:
