I have a CZ Shadow 1 and was wondering at what point I should start thinking about replacing springs etc. Do you base it on round count or wait for some telltale signs?
I don't shoot competition, just paper so it is not critical and a misfeed or other faults wouldn't really matter. What components are usually replaced, extractor and spring,
recoil and main spring, slide stop? The gun is stock except for stainless guide rod and rubber buffer.

Yes, to your list. The slide stop is a known issue in Shadow 1s and worth a regular inspection.
Since you’re not shooting competition, I would just repair and replace as you notice and troubleshoot things failing. Unless your round count now is approaching 10000, your gun is likely fine!

My Shadow 1 2009 year (heavy competition use - 25K/year)
Slide stop fails at around 25K
Extractor - 20K
Main spring, recoil spring - change every 15K or 2 years
Trigger return spring and firing pin spring - I don`t have any data, hope someone can add :)

Well, it looks like I don't have too much to worry about. I don't have anything remotely near those round counts. Maybe age for the main and recoil spring.

keep it simple. dont fix it if it aint broken. replace things as they start to act up. till then just keep pumpin them rounds out lol. i was very o.c.d with my guns as well. but sometimes...not all the time...but sometimes....trying to be proactive and replacing things before their due time can just be more of a pain in the ass then necessary.

^^^This...I wait until i need to. I just bring extra parts with me to matches. I’d rather blow a stage due to a failed extractor than blow a whole match cuz I took the damn thing apart the night before...lol

THIS! Made me smile...guilty. I have spent more money having a smith put the damn thing back together than I have on replacement parts.

Take Care

Smiths just love do it your selfers, LOL
but applies more to newbe's trying to figure out how things work, or some one that does a trigger job with a grinder

I usually rinse my P320 in a puddle at the range ever couple thousand rounds. After that spray some clp all over it and continue shooting ;)
