Anybody owns an old school P220 in .38 Super? American or European mag release.

I'd be curious to hear some feedback.

I'd love one too. Not too common as you know. I have not heard much but it is a great cartridge in a great platform.

I had one in my possession briefly and promptly sold to a guy I worked with. It feels like a 9mm P220, handles like a 9mm P220, and shoots like a 9mm P220. I’m set-up to load 9mm but not .38Super so it didn’t find a permanent home with me. If you are into .38 Super it could be fun. If you’re building a Sig collection it’s certainly uncommon. If you just want a nice single-stack Sig to shoot stick with 9mm. I prefer American mag release but expect to pay a premium. Magazines for the American release are also very hard to come by.

Full disclosure, I’m not .38 Super proponent. To me it’s a “why bother” sort of cartridge.

Thanks for your input. I really like shooting 38 Super but only have two 1911's in that calibre. I'd love to get my hands on a nice P220 in 38 Super to add to my Sig collection but to shoot occasionally as well.

If you’re already into .38 Super and you like the cartridge, you can’t go wrong with a P220. If I run across another I’ll keep you in mind.
