Power Pistol is excellent for 10mm (as well as 9 and .40) Lee dies work just fine, thats what I used when I loaded for 10mm. Id stick with 180gr or 200gr bullets
Congrats. You'll enjoy it. Haven't shot the Ruger but have others.
Not really any bad ammo out there in 10mm. I've tried most of it and don't see much difference between the less expensive ammo (Wolf, PMC, CCI) and the more expensive stuff (Hornady, Federal). CCI is the cheapest and works great but is aluminum cased so not useful for you. PMC from Can Am is usually one of the better deals and does go on sale. Most of the average priced factory ammo is medium strength (180-200gr from 1050 - 1100 ft/sec).
If you plan on shooting a steadier diet of heavier loads, you might want to consider adjusting the set-up with a flat bottom firing spring stop and a heavier main spring. That is preferable to ramping up the recoil spring past 20-22lbs.
