Looking at a Sig P239 Tactical. Worth the Money?

Great piece. It's SIG after all. In truth, you'll likely grow tired of shooting it rather quickly. Anything smaller than a Glock 19 grip gets old for most real quick.

For reference, I've got really big hands and the P226 is the best fitting grip out there for me. The girth and contours are almost like they were custom made for my hand. I find the P239 fits me very well too, particularly with the Hogue aftermarket grip, but the factory one fits too. It is thinner obviously than P226 because the P239 is single stack, but the contours still conform awesome with my mutant basketball gripping hands.

The P239 is extremely accurate, and the short reset trigger is awesome. They are great little guns, and soft shooting too considering the size. I had one but sold it when I needed money, and ended up buying it back a couple years later when I could afford it again. And that's a pretty good price for a brand new SIG.

I like Sigs, have a couple - no P239 though, but from a couple US forums I follow the 239 is highly regarded. Congrats and enjoy!

I had one, sold it though because it's too small for me to shoot comfortably. They come standard with SRT kit and a lovely trigger. Shoots smooth and accurate.

If you decide to buy one, I would suggest you check Brownell's and Numrich Gun parts for spare parts. Sig discontinued the P239 and there was a frenzy of people buying up spare magazines and parts (I'm set for life....).

Almost all of the P225A1 parts fit the P239, so no worries. P225A1 mags are just P239 mags with extended floor plates and fit the P239.

Brownells made a killing off you guys :p

Thanks. Are these reliable shops? They are not on CGN, and I have not any experiences with them.

If you look in the Dealer Network they are both listed. Also Durham Outdoors does have a banner on the left side of front page. I have bought from both places with excellent service. Most recently from Durham Outdoors I bought a Kriss Vector and a Remington R1 Hunter. Both lowest price on CGN by far!!!

I just got mine from Durham outdoors. The price dropped days after i bought it! I already have mine listed on the exchange unfortunately. I think it's an awesome pistol! I have large hands and i still manage to shoot it fast and accurately. It feels like the trigger will be even more amazing after being broken in.
I had wanted one for years & it's been a treat to try it out. I have to sell though *sigh*
