ha ha!
too cold down here for them !

its on Private, my Cuz rekons he is making one in the Public land, i dont think it will last 12 months , myself.

the Govt are always checking on satelite images an such, if a sniff of public liability is smelt anywhere then action is generally taken fairly quick these days...
i tried some years ago on a friend farm, soon enough there was a family fued and i went an knocked it all down an took my tin back lol.
forever wanted to stick one up but wasnt sure where..... this one is on our private, so i am cheering!

Ideally, i want to make something much much smaller, but the same principal, an knock them up in several bush locations..... as a 'emergency' shelter which reads Hunting shacks, typically in Australia if there is any new Track cut in, someone will go up it , investigate and generally Abuse it............ we call em W-anchors.....

Ohh yeah, CGN is Welcomed over at my place!
cheers mate

I used to build lean toos something like that when I was a kid , most of them didn't last the winter snow loads . Oh the creaking ,Squeaking And groaning when a good wind came up ( used trees as my up rights) surprisingly most 0f the original trees would survive my butcherings . Went back to the old sights a couple of years ago I remember them as being so much bigger . Summers seemed so much longer back then .

mate you should hear some flack i copped by close ones... even my off sider was second guessing everything an sayin it should be doen this way or that way, in the end i had to say, "listen mate, you just go with the flo... i know its not this an its not that but its going to do"

holds up well in the wind so far, minimal creaking an banging but slowly working on the little things that need attention.

Luckily we just dont have near the Snow dump! i think this would be like 500m ASL..... an our snow is mostly above 1000m, 800 on a cold day!

Your lean toos sounds like good fun though mate!!

Usually kin make a loo firstist.
I mean, you need sumplace tuh park yer heyenee when yer tired
oar need tuh tend tuh buzzinest.

You need to Get yourself a Shovel and a Packet of Kleenex rolls, take a Hike and get some Fresh Air, Kamlooky...
Yer sounding like the Sheilas right about now.......... LOL

Its a Blokes pad ;) plenty of Blackberry around to tuck in behind ;)

That was my next question where do the Sheilas pee? We call it an outhouse!! I found if it is kept in one location the animals will walk right up to camp. If we spread it all over we don't see any animals near camp.
When we were in Sidney we were told snow fell and everyone took off work to go see the snow for the first time in their lives!!
Can't afford to fly there today and travel around for 6 months on a $28 a day budget, like we did in 84.
