chrome bore CZ 858

Lately I've heard rumblings of a chrome bored CZ 858 about to hit the market.


Any info on this? Is this for real? Where can we get one? How much will it cost? When will they arrive?

In another thread John from Marstar said that their next shipment of CZ and VZ rifles would include chrome bore non-restricteds. I'm skeptical they'll be called 858s though, considering it's Marstar that're doing the actual importing and not Wolverine.

hmm....you dont have to clean the gun right after shooting because the chrome with protect the barrel from corrosion.

It won't protect the rest of the gas system though, so it only helps with the easiest part of the rifle to clean.

yes it will by how much ? I don't know,I am guessing but it'll probably triple the barrel life

Also its easier to clean and cannot rust. I hope they had some shorties in there shipment too.

Well, I just happened to see my bank balance before posting so that could explain it. I think the feeling has passed.

Chrome bores are more corrosion resistant, but they are not corrosion proof. If your using corrosive ammo you still need to clean your rifle! Though it will probably require fewer patchs to clean.

It's called a VZ58 my friend...

The ONLY benefit to the (IMHO) ghey looking 858 is the non-restricted status.

I was going to go to Reliable in vancouver and buy one today.....but this chromed barrel thing sounds very promising so I held off.
