Too bad he's gone, I always enjoyed his posts and he sure as heck has a lot more experience than 95% or more of the members here.

I can't recall anything he posted in the past being inflammatory?

This site exists to make money for GT via the sponsors and I would wage that C-fbmi has dropped an awful lot at those sponsors over the years.

I wanna know why there isn't an explanation in the perma ban thread!!!! I know the mods are reading this, begs the question why no one has responded to it!

Not bashing the mods, most seem to be stand up guys.

For whatever reason, this member's boardname was not added to the list in the OT forum. This will be remedied.

Most banned members do have a short explanation attached to the post. In fact a few times some of the mods will give an explanation in threads like this.

Well looky, if you're talking to him just let him know that he's missed around here. The forums seem emptier without him. I don't know Doug personally but we have exchanged a few pms and he seems like a stand up guy with a boatload of hunting experience. I guess one of the mods is playing fast and loose with the ban hammer.

If that is the case some may find themselves wearing pink for questioning the decision of the mods.
Mods do not act alone when it comes to issuing infractions or suspensions or banning members.
They do have meetings via the internet and discuss the options.
Obviously Douglas went over the line someplace ...I have no axe to grind with him or the Mods nor the owner of this web site.

I highly doubt that! The mods are usually pretty fair on here, lord knows I’ve had my share of infractions and warnings. Some deservedly so and some not and the ones I didn’t think were deserved I involved other moderators and after reviews had them rescinded. This isn’t the Alberta Outdoorsmen forum where you can be banned for not thinking alike!! Nothing against Douglas but he must have really overstepped the boundaries to get a permaban.
