Jumping the crimp

Most of the new StarLine 38 Special & 375 Magnum I bought were already shorter than the “trim to length” listed in my manuals.
I would have preferred them to be a least in the middle of the allowable length so I could do the trim to length.

Trimming the brass makes sence for roll crimping and I think am going to try that too. Thanks for the tip.
Don't do what I did and trim 1400 pieces by hand. Now that I know how to use it properly I would use the Lee quick trim set up. ps - multiquote is a pita on a phone

LOL not a chance, am bored but not that bored.

I will check out the Lee quick trim, thanks :)

UPDATE

So I loaded some 357Mag with Hornady 125gr, did every thing the same and the bullet creep was .001" and the accuracy was outstanding at 25m with 1-2" groups.

So it seems the Campro cannelure is not deep enough for heavy loads or the jacket is too soft the hold the crimp. I think I will save the Campro's for the 38spl loads and pay the extra for Hornady when loading Mag loads.

Also remember under the copper plating the campro bullets are soft lead, so it may not even be possible to crimp them tight enough. I use rcbs cowboy dies for lead, they come with different sized expanders so you can holder the Bullets tighter in the case

That's exactly what I've been doing too, Campro's for light loads and pony up for Hornady's or Sierra's for max loads.
