Loading Mosin-Nagant clips.

Put them overlapping. One rim over the other. Then load it with the rounds so they are tilted up (should look right, since the mag is shaped the same way), and as you push down, pull up on the top round at the point, and push the back of it in. So you're basically tilting it up as you push it in. Piece of cake!

According to the Text Book of Small Arms, 1908 edition, the correct way is with the rounds in what you would have to call a pyramid formation. It would look something like this:

_
_ _
_ _

I have tried it and they slip in right quick and no problems at all. I have also tried several other ways, but they all load with more difficulty and are slower, as well. I think we might try it the way the Tsar says!

And that &^^%$&* MACHINE changed what I was trying to say. Middle round (3) stands on the rims of Numbers 2 and 4. Number 2 stands on the rim of Number 1. Number 4 stands on the rim of Number 5. All rounds (except 3) incline sightly toward the centre. I HOPE this does it......
