Hi I was wondering if anyone knows much about the Canuck 12 gauges. Not sure if it called the defender or the regulator because different websites seem to use the two names interchangeably. Either way does anyone have one and is it a good gun? I could buy a Remington or Mossberg but I'm looking for a short shotgun and the Canuck looks nice and is also a lot cheaper. Sucks that there isn't too much information about it. Let me know if it is a decent gun, I don't plan to shoot it too much. Any help is appreciated thank you.

I literally just purchased one off the EE from a member and just received it in the mail (just reminded me to leave feedback). I honestly think I lucked out and the particular Canuck model I purchased came with both 14" and 28" vent rib barrels. It also included laminate wood stock as well as the birds head grip. Overall for a budget $300 shotgun I'm happy. The barrel and receiver doesn't seem to be a blued finish but rather a black painted or powder coated semi gloss finish. I haven't had it out yet but the action seems smooth and overall I don't think you can really go wrong for a $300 shotgun brand new.

I had one and did not like it. I decided to save and buy Benelli. But to each there own. The Turk guns may fit your budget better.

What did you not like about it? I'm expecting the finish and wood to lack in quality a little bit but am wondering more about the reliability or any other major flaws.

I have a canuck sentry. I’m new to firearms and enjoy variety so i have been purchasing inexpensive new guns. The canuck has not failed me and seems to run as well as my buddies Remington 870.

I have over 800 rounds through my regulator now and it is starting to break in nicely. It is as reliable as any of my 870s, and with a 14" barrel it patterns about as well as you would expect.

I think the regulator has just the birds grip, and the defender is the full sized stock, or both. There have been a few different package deals.

I love it. I think its a great little shotty.
