Hi folks

I have some questions for you guys running the Derya's, Typhoons etc. for 3 gun

Obviously the 5 round 12g mags for these are physically big, much bigger than your AR type mags.

How many mags do you carry with you on a course of fire? How do you carry them? What pouches do they fit in?

Just seen one run in 3Gun this weekend. Not bad but as you mentioned bulky mags for 5 shots only. Didn't think to ask where he got the carriers from. Looked badass though. Also I think, immediately an open gun. Carry them where you can I guess
 
Ive got some surplus german G3 vinyl magazine pouches that will fit on a belt and work for the 12ga mags.
Ive had the 12ga mags in them before, they're a bit tall but for competition, cut the top flap off and run them as an open top mag pouch.
PM me if you're interested, ive got a few and can sell them cheap.

Just ran my Typhoon at the DSSMatch.com Tac Shotgun event Reliable Gun sponsored... They are much bigger/heavier than AR mags, but they do fit in 7.62 pouches. I have 6 mags, so use two Tactical Tailor triple shingles to hold them. When three gunning I run one in a taco support side (at about 8 o'clock) and four in two double pouches on a support side thigh rig. Heavy and awkward, but no worse than those "practical" carriers and I don't have to invest the time to learn to quad load!
 
I spoke with Josh Froelich this weekend. He recently won IPSC Shotgun Worlds Open division in France. He said he can reload his box-fed shotgun in 1 second flat.

The TMMS? How do you like them? They're the last piece I intend to get for my belt (yeah right...), but cant find much on reviews.
 
I typically carry 5 full mags with me depending on the stage plus the hunting 2 round mag (as a slug/match saver), and if the stage/match allows for it i'll preload one in the chamber before i start. I use HSGI Taco pouches, specifically a drop leg that holds 3 rifle mags. Then 2 Taco pouches on my hip.

Just shot a match 2 weeks ago and it worked really well.
 
I got a chest rig for .308 mags on amazon. Not sure what the world champ guy uses but chest rigs are not that fast. I'm pretty sure he doesn't use 5 round mags either.
