I have been closely following the SMD 12 threads, and I am now wondering how you guys will carry them when out in the boonies.

Obviously it's a new firearm concept, and custom rigs will have to be made up...but what are the plans.

On the side of a backpack? single point sling? customised tactical thigh holster? IMO the thing cries out for a leather old west style gunbelt/holster with shell loops.

Anyway, share your ideas while I save up for one ( legal issues being settled of course).

Smart asses :)

I have a sling that I designed for it,basically a single point with an attachment/detachment point for the front sling to bring it into action. The sling design keeps the muzzle up and the gun tight to my bosy so it isn;t flopping around. It's about 90% there, a few improvements to be made before I patent it and try to get Farmboy to build a bunch ;)
Cheers

Sounds like Ike is ahead of the rest of us. I'm thinking either backpack side mounted scabbard or some kind of system to keep it tight to the body. not sure about drop leg holsters as they impede walking (for me anyways) and catch into things when walking through swamps/deadfalls - plus they scream "Mad Max' to the satellite-phone-carrying 911-dialing tree-hugging "fellow wilderness sharers" you'll meet in any wooded area within luxury SUV distance of a metropolitan area.

Ike I'm in on one of your slings once you patent them... :)

Other than that I plan on having it mounted on the side of my pack and a handgun on my hip... :dancingbanana:

I'm too lazy to get a patent ;) Once I get the bugs worked otu I will let you know what it is, aactually it is pretty simple bugged out version of a 3-point but with some hefty changes.....if anyone has an anaconda sling they want to donate to the cuase I will change give that a try......anyone anyone Beuller??
OK it was a shot.

what do you think of these? $90USd

Weird idea just rushed through my mind... does it have a slight chance to fit in the pistol holster of a "swat" vest such as the ones marstar sells?
