Have an older Remington 1100 very reliable!
I call the standard 12 a "light" 12 just to keep my buddy (who is a big Browning auto Five guy) on his toes. God forbid the big green comes up with a "Light 12" model 1100 it would end the reign of the Browning Auto Five Light Twelve.

See all kinds of them. Many areas of canada like here has a very high percentage of people retired so most still use their guns they purchased way back and they still go bang and others have bought the new sporting models especially in small gauges like 28
I especially use mine in the 410, 28 and 16ga since all I have had choke tubes fitted by Briley
I also have a 1985 upland special in 12ga with the straight stock and short barrel with choke tubes that I use and love. It was the first year remington supplied choke tubes in a factory gun. I know 1987 was the remchoke but special models like this got briley square threads installed in 85 and 86
They are impossible to find and replacement tubes now are a special order at $120 a piece US from Briley.
It is like this one
Cheers

I saw one just like it the other day. Did they do a special run of this model or one like it recently?
I also have an older 2 3/4" Rem 1100. I use it as a back up for both hunting and clay shooting. Decent gun for sure.
