A7 Roughtech pro 308

Plane to get a 7 Roughtech pro stainless in fluted barrel. Friend has a a7 synthetic but in straight stainless barrel.
What differences is it with either. One better than other? I plan mostly ya get but also start hunting with him

I think the roughtec is heavier. Check the specs. I have 3 A7 and love them. 2 blued and a stainless.

well i assume the flute to reduce the weight but i caint see that much material make a huge difference in weight savings. issue is the reg a7 stainlless vs the pro flute. unless same gun and they just calling it a pro because of being flutted. any other differences_

I believe the roughtec pro is over a pound heavier. That stock is quite hefty. I have both and scoped with 3-9s there is quite a weight difference just by feel alone.

The fiberglass stock on the pro is much nicer than the plastic A7 stock, it is heavier though. I won’t own a plastic stocked rifle anymore, can’t stand them. Everyones tastes are different but for me that decision is a no brainer.

What would you guys suggest as a good Say 400 to 500 scope for this gun?
Thinking leupard scope manufactore. Use hunt and target

The Leupold VXR is a great scope for hunting. Works for me. Might be a bit more than 500.00

i look into that one. i looked into a nikomn minarch 3 i think model was and it seemed to be good at store.

Have a Roughtech pro stainless in 308. The barrel is heavier and fluted. The stock is the biggest difference. It has an aluminum chassis that runs through the stock. Adjustable length of pull .Very nice design. Mine is accurate, sub moa 5 shot groups.

does all the tika have sub moa? i ask if they came with a fired card in box to proof the guns accurcy and dealer was no.
