Hi,

I want to sell some parts but have no idea of the value. Everything has minimal use. Taken it out twice so good shape.

What's a s&w striped reciver worth??

And whats a 16.xx inch barrel, with A2 site/gas block with gas piston worth???

Also, what included in a "stripped receiver" i assumed nothing but upper and lower?

Thanks!

Barrel, probably 200-250 on the low, 350-400 on the high, depending on manufacturer. That plays a big part in value as it typically dictates quality.
If it's a stripped upper and lower, as in two slabs of metal, no other parts. Probably 200-300.
Your main competition is the aero receivers which will run around 200-250 new.

Thanks. That's a good starting point. Now I just gotta wait for the tools to strip it down :D

Everything is off a $700 rifle. Not too many people looking for S&W AR parts. Most people are looking for Colt, Diemaco and higher end AR stuff.

Based on this pricing there should be a thriving market in buying S&W sport 2's and breaking them down for parts.

Stripped lower maybe $100 I can buy a new aero for $140ish
Barrel gas block and "piston" (I'm guessing gas tube) $150
These are not high end parts and the only person that would buy them is some one trying to do a budget build.

And stripped is just that a bare receiver nothing in it or on it.

I'll update my valuation.

If the barrel is off an M&P sport, yeah I'd say best case 150-200. For some reason I read that initially as a piston barrel, and not a standard DI.

Receivers, yeah around 200-250 if it's for both an upper and a lower.

Not even that much for the lower. Aero are only $99 at Saskatoon Gunworks.

I know but I was including tax and shipping if applicable. People are selling nea lowers for around the $100 Mark so $100/shipped is the best he's probably going to get

Im not super concerned about getting ever dollar possible out of a striped reciver. At this point ill prob put it for trade for a sks, mosin or some mags for my VZ or .308 ar. I seen the nea lowers for 100$ but they are raw, and frankly NEA. Who would take a NEA lower over a S&W lol. Thats like choosing a Norc ar over a USA made one.

The barrel I may hold on to if i cant get a decent ammount. I could always use it for somthing and dont need to worry about locking it up like a would a restricted receiver. What a pain.

Thanks guys. I still plan to get rid of the receiver. I really wana ether build on burn bronze one or a non-res one. And refinnishing the current one isnt worth the $$$ imo. Even thos retro ar kits look awsome!

I never include tax. Can’t stand people that factor the out the door price in a valuation. It has nothing to do with it. As for shipping. That may or may not be included in the price. Depends on the seller.

Regardless it’s a used lower off a $700 rifle. I do agree that $100 shipped is realistic. Power to the people that are asking and receiving $100 for NEA/BCL. If people are too stupid to educate themselves than you have every right to take advantage. I wouldn’t give you $25 for one.
