Hate the rail of my Beretta 92A1... Do I have options to cover it?

Hello, There.

So Justin Trudeau and Ralf Goodale forced me to buy my first pistol (I'm Fudd-ish), just to support our rights.

I chose the Beretta 92 because of the mag interchangeability with my Cx4.

But I hate - nay, I abhor - its stupid dust cover rail.

Do I have options to cover it, like the Beretta 90-Two had?

If so, who sells them?

Trade it for a 92fs I wouldn't bother machining it off or try and find a rail cover from a kriss vector that should work.
 
Guns are like sons: once you have them, you have them. If I cannot cover the pimples in my pistol, I’ll live with it.
 
Trade and get the pistol you want. There are plenty of FS out there, you could probably even sell and buy a used FS and turn a small profit or at least break even on shipping costs.
But you're wrong, the rail is good. Let's you put a light on. And all pistols should have lights if they have a rail. And all pistols should have rails..... :)
maybe it grows on you, maybe it doesn't...but maybe you'll realize guns are not like sons, you can indeed sell them and pick ones you like more.

Selling a gun is perfectly fine. It means that someone else gets to buy a gun, and it doesn’t sit in a safe not getting used. I’ve bought/sold/traded several guns and now I have a collection that I love rather than a bigger collection with guns I never use.

If I’m not using a gun anymore I sell it and let someone else use it. I take that cash and buy another gun. Boom, now twice as many guns are in use. Circle of life, baby.
 
You could put a rail cover on it.

Something like this;

They come in small sections. Magpul makes them, if the rails match they should fit.

Don't worry #metoo, all of my guns have wood stocks {even my AR-15.}

If all else fails you could attach a pistol bayonet.

Completely agree with this. Nothing's sadder than locking a beast in a cage.

Thanks, that’s very generous. I think one of the two things will happen: the design will grow on me OR i’ll go full-tacticool and add a threaded barrel, a red dot etc.
