I figure there must be a large number who have replaced the stock Remmy 870 bead sight for something a bit more user friendly. I use my 18" 870 for action shotgun, so looking for something to quickly acquire the targets. I am not a fan of the ghost ring sights, so was thinking of something more along the lines of fibre optic, but not sure if there is anything else out there better. Or even what the best of breed FO sights might be.

Any recommendations?

Try Eotech? What is it you don't like about Ghost Ring sights?

I got rid of my fibre optic on my shottie... went with Wilson Ghost rings..they are much faster and easier to use...
 
I had some Wilson Ghost-Ring sights which I loved. They were great and the tritium was very bright and I loved the setup, made shoot slugs a whole lot more fun. However, now for my next setup I am wanting to get a rail on the top of the receiver and getting a red dot.
