hey fellas this Sako A1 .222 i have needs upgrade of the scope , i have a scope here but the Sako findland mounts are too low, so i need the mediums, Sako stuff is expensiv here an am wondering, what other mount i could use?
dont think its drilled or taped, but has the groove on the side an the old rings seemed to just clamp on...

help please. heading into big smoke this week to see what the shop has

WhelanLad, have you tried looking the mounts on the Leupold web site?
I'm pretty sure Leupold makes a set of rings that will/do fit the dove tail...
About 95% sure just reading something else at the moment so can't be of further assistance now.

thats what i said to the bloke, wasnt his son (a mate) this time so got the full brunt LOL--- he explained its to do with the uneven dovetails and "sako" in general..... other mounts are like $75-$100 on average which are drilled n taped etc-

that just means i need 17x Fox over spring to make the money back---- altho it was a MUST do event.
cheers fellas- love CGN for their expertise experience and know their Schit!

Nice choice, I find all firearms, and shooting stuff, to be a lot more expensive in New Zealand, (Australia too) when I am down there, I buy here (Canada) and take a back,
About $80-95 for those rings in Canada, from what I seen.
Sako finlight run about $3500 in NZ, Grand more than Canada at least, good thing we can hunt all year round.
