I also use the Lyman. Never used any other hand primer tools to compare but I know it is waaaaaaaay better than using the reloading press primer tube system.

I use a Hornady hand primer. Excellent! Metal handle, uses Lee, Hornady, RCBS shell holders. Accommodate a pistol and rifle primers. Works like a charm. Seats primers perfectly.

I'm liking the all-metal look of the Frankfort Arsenal...and the $100 price (off Amazon.ca) isn't intimidating at all. now to watch a couple video reviews of it's operation and such!

Looks to me that he missed a real opportunity when he decided to make it use proprietary shell holders rather than making a decent quality rig that could fit the standard reloading shell holders that pretty much everyone has.

At least the Lee set of holders is only a couple bucks.

I've been using the K&M one for years. Utilizes the small Lee shell holders.
I Like it far more than the Sinclair.

I have the same one. Havent used it alot as i havent loaded alot but i do like it. Which reminds me that i have to buy a couple of shell holders.

I used the Lee AutoPrime for 30 years. When it wore out I bought a new one and it is crap.

I bought the Frankford Arsenal Tool, and it is superb. Solid metal and easy to use.

Have not tried the RCBS, which is cheaper.

Are the shellholders standard?
I.E. you can use RCBC, Hornady Lee ...etc shellholders?

RCBS universal . Works great on anything up to 50AE and you don't need shell holders

I just purchased a Lee Ergo Prime and it does not load primers smoothly. I need to tap and jiggle it before it loads the next primer. Anyone else having this issue.
