New black 9mm bull pup non restricted Jardinc j68

I dont about most guys, judging on this thread I'm the odd man out, but lots of the pcc's dont have sub MOA. Which apparently means this gun is garbage? I dont understand. If it hits gophers at 50 yards with a cheap scope I dont care. I'm not looking for precision groups.

As too the weight, ya it sucks its 7lbs but itll soften the already light recoil of the 9mm.

Corners are too sharp? Idk that seems like nid picking.

The only video review (from last year) online, shows a couple shooters getting very good accuracy at 50 yards with some mid to high cost factory ammo.
Some of their groups were ragged holes that would suggest around 2moa..... this plus the sweet trigger probably got a few people excited that this gun had the potential to be better then the typical PCC accuracy you refer to.

The Caliber test was more like 4-10MOA with a fair range of factory ammo. As far as sharp edges being a nitpick..... I expect them on a sub $500 Norinco 1911 but not so much on a $1400 plus gun made in the US of A.

I don't know about you but given a choice, In the $1400 range, I will take the gun with smooth metal edges and 2-4MOA over something a bit rough around the edges and shooting 4-8MOA ..... Guess I'm a nitpicker..... :)
 
One thing Jard should consider with their clamshell design is an option to mount a light or laser inside the lower's foreend.

It looks like you could easily mount a rail on the bottom and another on the inside and then mount a light/laser inside the lower.... you would just need to cut out a hole in the angled part that covers the opening so the light could shine through and run a pressure switch to the outside.

Agreed.

Get a CX4 storm for a bullpup like 9mm that doesn't look like that and works well. Or spend the extra and get the Tavor X95 in 9mm at around $2K it's worth the extra. Life is too short to having something that Fugly lurking in your gun safe or cabinet. Or maybe a trigger lock and keep it under the stairs... forever.
 
Order it in FDE so when the feds come for your guns you can just throw it in a pile of 2x4's and say with a confused look on your face "what gun?" :p

If the price is right and it's reliable does it really matter if it's ugly?
Making it pretty makes it more expensive, be careful what you wish for.

How does it come apart?

X95 is nice but probably more like $2500 and doesn't take glock mags.

There is a release button at the back under and in front of the butt that allows it to pivot free from the front pin and then it separates into the upper and lower.

Literally just falls apart on him when he opens it.
Looks like AR180 carrier, guide rods and springs. Simple and reliable :)

It looks like the "smooth" way to take it apart is with the gun inverted so the bolt and recoil springs remain in the upper until they are lifted out.

The one questionable thing in their shooting review that this couple does is they start off planning to shoot some Freedom Arms ammo (cheap) but then for some reason decide not to use it mid way through and don't explain why?

PPS-43 hinges. Maybe this thing needs a good buffer. I guess my hesitation is the price is more than exchange rate, which isn't a big deal...but then those upgrades added to that? I'd want cheek piece, threaded barrel and flaky eliminate as standard. Maybe it is?

The optional cheek piece looks like a strip of velcro loops..... should be easy to improve on.... or just grow a beard.... :)
The next batch is coming threaded but the flash hider is an extra.

Some overmolded rubber on that butt plate would be nice as well but at least Jard is willing to look north.
I must say Blueline is one of the better importers for service and support and they also, along with Jard seem un affected by trade issues as far as price changes.....in fact it's cheaper now considering the threaded barrel.

A quick search and I found the X95 9mm for $2099 and $2150. Expensive yes. But the Tavor is a good firearm.


CX4 storm: Non restriced are $1300 new. Or find a smoking deal on a restricted and have it converted. So slightly less than the Jard. While we are at it there is also the FN PS90. They used to be available in the $2300 range for non restricted but good luck these days. I'm ok with the restricted version in this case.

The Storms are proven performers for sure, My estimate of $2500 for the tavor was including tax and shipping.

The new Ruger offering seems like the best value option today and although it does not have the track record of the Storm, there are a ton of reviews already and the majority seem favorable.
 
You can get an NR CX4 on the EE for $850 shipped once in a while, and regularly for 950-1000. While not quite a bullpup, it is the most amazingly dependable rifle I have ever seen. I saw some of them go through tens of thousands of rounds with no issue, and those rifles probably had already 80-100K through them before that (with the odd part replaced here and there). All the while the 9mm AR-15s and HK USC 45 carbines would break down after a few thousand rounds at most. They would have long spurts in between cleanings and that didn't affect function at all. I have heard good things from the guys at the range that the Tavors, and CZ EVOs are doing well too, but not really a surprise there.
