<Potential Sticky> Semi-automatic Non Restricted Black Rifle Options

Should we make a list of available NR SA Black Rifles as a Sticky ?

To take things to the extreme we don't need this website or others like it to feed the antis. It's a double edged sword, these sites and subsequent postings/dealer interaction are the primary reasosn why our selection keeps growing and growing but at the same time these sites offer easy ammunition to those who wish to curtail these activities. Personally I'd rather fly under the radar, mind my own business and wish others would do the same.

That said, that's a great list and, seemingly, about twice the offerings of just a couple years ago.

I disagree 100% with the most of u,
A sticky like this should exist and be one of the first and easyiest things for new members to find.... Ive come across dozens of new shooters in person who are wanting to get into the hobby and want a semi auto, but have no idea about all the options us Canadians have for NRs, and don't want to put in the days and days worth of time sifting through links, threads and people ranting just to source out their options.

A ban list for anti gunners ???!!!! Seriously ?!! Take ur tin foil hats off guys lol.

If their that determined they just pose as a newb and ask the same damn question that's asked once every week in this forum already. Might as well just make it a easy to find, updated sticky.

You over estimate the average anti's ability to do there own research....most just re-iterate what CBC anchors are payed to say.

A sticky would be spoon-feeding the anti's like a baby.

Our list means nothing except helping out new shooters.

That is your opinion...Not a fact.

Many of these firearms look very similar to full auto military weapons....

That is all it will take for Anti's to use this Sticky and Google to Parade images/videos of the Full-Auto Variants to the un-gun-educated public....

Lately we have been seeing more great AR/AK like designs sneaking through the red tape.......

The less attention/info spread about these rifles the better

The less attention/info spread about these rifles the less Media/Anti-Firearms People will have to learn our clever ways of attaining/manufacturing these AR/AK like rifles.

Explain how that cannot be achieved by:

a) going to any firearm website in Canada
b) doing a browse of our current forums, subdivided nicely by firearm type
c) browsing our current EE, subdivided nicely by firearm type
d) a simple google search
e) starting a thread here asking

I would agree with you if the information wasnt already so easy to find.

Please Answer My Questions I will answer yours....

A) A Sticky wouldn't be Spoon-feeding info and variants to Media/Anti's
B) Not draw unwanted attention to the technical manufacturing info/ work involved to create/allow us these rifles

a) going to any firearm website in Canada

Answer (a):I don't know of any other Canadian websites that have as much info as this one.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

b) doing a browse of our current forums. subdivided by firearms type

Answer (b): Why do we need a Sticky if this info is so easily attained by searching the forums?
Its NOT easily attained knowledge for people who do not know firearms. Black guns should require some learning curve and research, Not spoonfeeding.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

c) browsing our current EE, Subdivided by firearm type

Answer (c): That would require knowledge of each firearm and why it is allowed to be non-restricted....This is not a Ban All Semi-Autos argument...its about not easily disclosing why certain variants qualify for Non Restricted because of clever Manufacturing while following current laws.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(d) a simple google search

Answer (d): I cannot find a Definitive Non-Restricted Black rifle list.... by doing a simple Google search(thats good by the way). If that was the case...why do we need a sticky?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(e) starting a thread here asking

Answer(e): That would hardly result in the average anti's ability to learn the How and the Why of the Non-Restricted Status of these Rifles

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The antis do not need this list. They just need to go to any firearms store website to see all of whats available. They can even do a filter for semi-auto non restricted on countless site sponsors websites. Plus there are countless similar threads here where someone can put together a similar list ans the EE is divided up nicely for them. This list will help us more than it hurts us.

Post it up!
This, are you guys that daft to believe this is some too secret information? FFS cableas has 7/8 of these listed online.

Lol not only are we making a list of NR semi autos.... But now I can make a mental list of all the wackos on CGN.

I could go create another account, introduce myself, then hop on over to this black rifle forum and create a thread asking "wat is the best NR semi autos in Canada? "

And within 4 hours have a dozen eager CGN'ers recommending, ranting and argueing about how much they love TONS of the rifles on this list. DILLIGRAF being amoung one of the first lol

I will refer you back to my post #26, zoom in and see the search option filter. This is very common amongst all firearm retailers in Canada.

Why not help new shooters? Just because theres a list does not prevent them.from then researching and asking questions to see what firearm in their price range works best for them? They will just post a thread asking if they cant find the answers anyway, resulting in much of the same info from the list being posted.

If you honestly think an anti will check the list for a specific firearm, vs just want all semi autos gone, you are reading different newspapers than I.

Edit: a 5 second search:

Why make it a sticky? No one reads the ones we have.

Plus as a Swiss Arms owner that has owned one for more than a dozen years what's NR today can be prohib tomorrow.

Good job compiling it. I honestly lost track of all those new receivers/pseudo-ars projects and changes (including company names changes). This sums it up pretty much.
However if there's Type 81 then you probably should add VZ58/CZ858

Why do some fearful people want to hide under a bush with their NR semi-auto rifles? We should definitely talk about and list (and even *gasp* post photos) of all the NR black rifles that are NOT causing a public safety problem. Kooky Cukier knows full well what guns are R, NR, or Prohib and she has Trudeau's ear. Spread the word that these guns are cool and fun and everyone should have one! Or more.

No body ever read the rules and stickies, every sponsor website you go to categorizes firearms by classification with picture and prices and even if you are not sure about it there is already a stickie of all the firearms that is restricted or prohibited by name you can check against.
