what press do you use?

I mainly use an old Hornady Pacific 007 single stage that I have been using 30 years or so. And more recently added a Forster co-ax. Like them both, for different jobs. I usually prime cases with a Lee or RCBS hand primer, not the press.
I also load shot shells 20 ga.and .410 with Hornady DL155, 12ga. with Ponsness-Warren 375 and 16ga. with MEC Sizemaster. No complaints.

Lee classic cast turret originally for both rifle and pistol reloads.

Moved pistol to Lee Loadmaster. Classic Cast turret still used for rifle.

Went with Lee as it was affordable and customer service is quite good.

RCBS Rochchucker supreme . I prefer the level of attention that the single stage presses offer over each bullet. Its also compatible with other brand dies. Call me crazy put reloading isn't a chore but a form of therapy. Lol

Agreed about the therapy part! I find the repetitive nature of reloading a great way to unwind.

2 machines, $100,000= still no line rounds to send down range. I will take the Dillon XL650 for the win.

Obviously commercial ammo plants
Say about one round per second.
3600 seconds per hour in an 8 hour day= 28800 rounds/seconds per machine IF well supplied with components.
Say $10.00 Wholesale price per box of 50 rounds =$5760.00 per day per machine revenue minus cost of supplies, wages, rent, hydro , loan interest , taxes....etc.

I have an old Lyman Turret Press I bought new in about 1976 or so. This past year I have loaded over 5000 rounds of various pistol and rifle ammo. It still works, so why change? I am considering looking into upgrading my turret to the newer style to accommodate the new style primer system. My old system is showing it's age, and parts are not available.

I use dillon 650 for 9mm/40SW
Lee classic cast breachlock for 308 brass sizing work
Lee challenger breachlock for 308 bullet seat (small press next to scale so it doesn’t disturb the scale table)

Dillon XL650-.40S&W, 9mm, Lee Turret-everything else, Lee C-sizing, Mec 600jr-410, Lee Load-All II-12g, Pacific-12g, Lee Load-All II- 16g, Lee Progressive Shotshell-12g.

Forster co-ax. Low to no runout and die changes are are quick and easy, no special adapters needed. A bit pricey though.

I want to replace my Lee cast for forster.
With Lee i have many 0.5 thou runout ammo with the avg being 0.75/1.00 thou runout
I think runout would have more to do with dies than press, but do agree that a better aligned press could maybe generate even better averages
