Hi,

Does anyone have a source for Lee Enfield Grenade Launching Cups? I believe these are the No.1 discharging cup destination ones.

I see them at some US websites but they won’t ship to Canada.

Does anyone know where I could find one in Canada? Does anyone have one they’d part with?

Thanks

I have one on my Lithgow, I will be at a militaria show this weekend, there was one there last time, so seller may still have it, i think it was 450.00

There is one at the Eganville gun show this weekend. Pretty cool.

I know the guy, he's a friend and he still has it. He would prefer to sell it as a complete set… rifle, cup and bayonet.
I can give you his email if you want to contact him directly and see if you can make a deal (he's not on CGN) just message me.
(Adm. i hope this is ok, i'm not selling anything just helping to put 2 person in contact)

I used to do re-enactment of WWII Canadian infantry. See my avatar. All blank fire. The rule was that if somebody shot at you and called the shot, you would stand up, remove your head dress and wait ten minutes before getting back into the game. All on the honour system.

One weekend we had a group of Germans up from the States. They would not be called out and appeared to be bulletproof, even when lit up by a section with rifles and Bren gun, they just ran away into the bush. We were getting pissed at them for cheating so we brought up a buddy who was carrying a wire wrap No.1 with cup discharger and a haversack of tennis balls. He was so well practiced with it, he could bounce the tennis balls off the Germans' helmets as they peeked at us from behind cover. Difficult for them to argue that he missed when their helmet went poink!

Hot damn, this is just the thing one needs to put on an Ishapore .410 Musket. Now I've got to find meself one...

Would the thinner barrel of a .410 Musket survive firing a regular blank?

I’ve got the musket, a 50 round box of .303 blanks, and a replica of the older style grenade cup that’s just sheet metal and attached to the gun by also attaching the bayonet. And a tennis ball. Not really willing to try it though.

Edit. A Kynoch .410 Musket blank had 15 grains of approved powder. Anyone know how much powder is in a .303 Blank?

NB the grenade launching blank is NOT interchangeable with the common noise making blank.

I was thinking of just cutting the crimp and pouring the shot and wad out of a target .410 load. Fire forming a .303 blank to be straight walled at the same time MIGHT give you trouble...
