G19X is HERE!!!!

The civilian sale versions likely do. Rampart seems to be willing to sell a Glock with whatever Glock option you're willing to pay for.

with Rampart you had the option of normal, glock night sights or provincial police spec sights all of course for more money for each different option.
i dont know what the civilian ones come with.... in the states they came with glock night sites, so maybe they do up here too?

I am very tempted, The Rampart IOP price is almost too good to pass up.

Oh, and to throw some fuel on the fire...It is pretty common to accidentally sweep the safety ON on a Beretta 92F/M9 series when using the Overhand/clamshell/powerstroke method, rendering the pistol safe and there for inoperable until the safety is then switched off...

True, but the Beretta is a POS to begin with.

That can be addressed by swapping out to the m93a1 safety. It took them long enough but they did address it.

Mine arrived today. Very happy with it and really like the new proportions. The trigger has a lot of take-up, but the let-off at 5 lbs 5 oz is more crisp than my Gen 4 G17. The shorter sight radius is a non-issue with the RMR instaĺled!

Received my Glock 19X today!

Regular plastic sights. Trigger has long but smooth slack then a nice release. It's not bad at all. Nicer than I remember the regular G17 triggers being. I like it. I will have to see how it shoots, but this is the Glock I wanted!

One of these is not like the others.....

Is this so?
Must be an issue with the operator...

The design is poor. Slide mounted safeties are stupid, the grip is very large for the average capacity it holds. Exposed barrels are pointless. A front sight that is not interchangeable is far far outdated. The 64 parts needed to make a pistol work is an atrocious amount. The pistol is large, heavy and has a horrible trigger. Their reliability is not exactly out front either. three piece locking block that shears the wings frequently would be a sign of a poor design. Operating the pistol is exclusive to the design.

mine came in on 20th Mark. Shot nice as I expected. I chose the factory night sights, their fine. I think I'll shoot it for abit.....

last words - overhand.......... (body alarm reaction). I'm a tactical shooter not a competition shooter. Gross motor skills, training training training

fine motor skills for the range lads....

I put about 100+ rd!s down range, one of the most accurate Glocks I've shot, I changed out the sights to the Agent, great sights. Overall very pleased!

I took mine to the range today. It shot very well. I've shot Glocks in the past and they didn't shoot this well.

The one thing though is that it was shooting fairly high at 20 metres. I had to use a very low 6 oclock hold. But it grouped decently for this type of pistol. No failures and lots of fun. Plus it cleans up very quick. I put about 150 or so rounds through it. I was shooting 147 grain Winchester ammo.

When you’re the number one brand, people get excited about mundane things.

My FNS 9 which came out around 2013, has the full size, standard length grip with 4 inch slide/4.2 inch barrel. I love it, but it’s not a big deal.

Same idea as the 1911 Commander.

The M&P FS, the original, was and remains a pistol with a full size grip with a 4.25" slide and barrel. The gun I wish S&W would put together would be the new compact frame with a 4.25" barrel. Perfect for CCP Division in IDPA. To be fair to Glock, they did change the internal design of the frame, slide, barrel and trigger group with the Gen 5.3. They also made the slide release more useful by making a bit larger. I am looking forward to trying k22236821 pistol.

Take Care

Bob

I don't know. This is the first time I've felt compelled to buy a Glock. I was pleasantly surprised with it. I've shot older ones and never felt I wanted one. In fact I went mostly for the Walther PPQ which is my favourite. The Glock is right up there though. At least this gen and version of it is. The previous ones, not so much.

Anyone thinking like me and taking advantage of the IRG 1$ Labour sale to order some mags? maybe? go in as a group? Thoughts?
