3 gun shotgun?

I assume you're talking about the shell holders on his belt?
If so; You are very much correct.

Those holders are exactly what's needed for loading a shotgun super-fast, and winning a stage.
But they're definitely not made for all-day carry in a warzone.

The more anything evolves; The more specialized it becomes.

Primarily, yes. I mean the one round on the side of the shotgun is so John Wick. I am sure it can be the difference in a match, but very impractical for everyday use.

I mean no disrespect. I would be in line to buy one if I had good access to a 3 gun range on the regular.
 
I have to disagree. Being able to load one round into an empty, open-action shotgun quickly and easily is tactical and useful no matter what day of the week it is.

Yeah. But that extra round in the matchsaver would probably not be there when you needed it.

Maybe but you might be surprised. Some of these shotguns get thrown around pretty good at the matches unless your one of those guys that are afraid to get a scratch on the gun. It’s impressice how well a match saver will retain a round.

And what good tactical reason is there to walk around with an empty, open action shotgun?

Whats the furthest you have ever walked with a firearm? Climb any fences while you were at it? Fight your way in and out of a seat belt?

Having one round off to the side held in place by little more than finger friction, or a light magnet, might be handy on a stage that lasts less than two minutes, or maybe less than 30 seconds, but when you actually have to carry all three guns for days, by the time you need that one round, you won't know what township you lost it in.

I love me some shotgun sports, but I have yet to see a shooting sport that even sees shotguns used against the typical targets that most professionals carry shotguns for. But then there isn't much sport involved in shooting a door knob at a distance of 2 inches.

Got any videos to share? I doubt we have the same idea of "thrown around pretty good". Retrieved gingerly from a barrel at the start of a stage, or dumped empty into a bin at the end of a stage is hardly what I would call thrown around. I'd love to see a match that actually called for a loaded gun to be thrown into dirt on purpose, and then retrieved for use.

Anything that can come out with slight finger pressure can easily be knocked loose with rough handling. And if it can snag on a seat belt, sling, pack or strap, then its going to have a much shorter life span than any professional user would tolerate.

I’m away on vacation at the moment but when I get back I’ll throw mine around a bunch with a match saver in just to see what happens. I’ve actually tuned mine to come out easier so it should be interesting. When they are new they have a death grip on the shell.

I am truly curious to see the results. I have only ever seen that round holder in keanu reeves videos, and it looks like it lets go pretty easily. I don't see the death grip as being advantageous...

Jay is right, the matchsaver really retains the round surprisingly well. It can actually be a pain to get the round in. Having been in the army and done the ground pound game with a rifle I would confidently say the round would stay in there in most situations I can think of or have been in. Carry it for days, throw it around, unless the round is knocked at just the right spot and angle it’s probably not going anywhere. Of course this can happen with a rifle mag as well if hit just right.
 
Put a few rounds through the new M3K yesterday. Ran like a top. Put 5 rounds of buckshot through it and then 25 or so of target load...cycled perfectly. I guess the trigger is supposed to be heavy but I didn't even notice. I also ordered a Nordic +3 kit from TacOrd w/ low drag follower, thanks bsand and dacron.

It's nice that they opened up the port a bit, but the brass gets hung up on the inside lip of the receiver. The shell carrier spring pushes the shell 'up' and the brass catches on the hard edge as I'm trying to put shells in the tube. So at least for me, the stock loading port is useless for quads or doubles. It might only take a few minutes with sandpaper to fix. I was planning to do some work on it anyways, but kinda disappointing that a gun supposed to be ready to go out of the box isn't really.
 
When I first got my match saver I thought it was for a 20 gauge. Those things are tight, but they slide out easily enough when you need to drop it on the chamber.

As for the trigger, the taran m2 spring reduces it ~3lbs, but the taran m2 hammer spring is a great improvement IMO. It makes cycling much smoother than factory.

Yep same experience I had, I ended up taking the Dremel to it. Really happy with how it turned out. Makes loading a breeze, now to modify the shell stop to make loading much much more effortless. There's well over 1/4" of engagement, probably can cut it down to 1/8".

M3Kers, I ordered a 3 shell extension from TacOrd...any ideas for limiting it? Source for Magpul shotgun stock adapters?

I used a carriage bolt pinned to the end of the cap. The cap is expoied to the tube.

MOA precision out of USA sells one.
