Ok, So as I said I had hit the 1/2" at 50 challenge with a bolt. Now I wanted to do it with a semi.

I was thinking I would do it over time. After pricing everything out and extra shipping costs ect... The cheaper (ish) and easier route was to simply order a DLASK Dar-22.

I dont see much on them, now keep in mind this is a bit of a one off order. It is not a stock DAR-22.

Nothing in this is ruger... I know I need lower rings they are coming.

It is all dlask parts Except for the barrel, trigger pack and stock.

I love the extended charging handle!

Barrel is a KIDD 22LR MATCH STAINLESS STEEL RIFLE BULL BARREL.
Slip-fit design
STAINLESS STEEL
HAND LAPPED individually
11 degree crown, 1:16 twist, convex extractor slot
Heavy barrels slow down the shooter-targets are easier to hit
1/2" at 50 yards 5 shot group guarantee

Trigger pack is a KIDD TWO STAGE TRIGGER with a red blade...
This thing is absolutely amazing. Such a clean break! It is a CRISPY trigger.

Stock is a Magpul X22 in OD green.
The barrel pressure or "support" ring IS in the rifle. So the barrel is NOT free floated...
Something else to consider when I start playing with accuracy.

Optic is currently a vortex viper hst 6-24x50

Attached is a pic of the beast. Hopefully this week I will get to shoot it and next week I will have some good match ammo in to test (various brands).

So far, I could not be happier with this rifle.

EDIT GOT LOWER RINGS RIFLE LOOKS PROPER NOW. NEW PICS TO SEE.

my build is very similar to that and i haven't been able to crack the challenge yet with it.
close... but not yet.
im undecided of what to change out to get me there though.
figured id take the winter to work on it and puzzle it out some.
the one difference between yours and mine is the barrel, so im interested to see how that barrel treats you.

Nice rifle man. I just think your rings need to be much lower. I have a kidd build too. Kidd 20” heavy barrel, kidd two stage trigger and kidd bolt assembly inside a stainless steel volquartsen receiver. It is a work of art. Looks so pretty and quite hefty. I have it in a black victor titan stock. Haven’t fired it hardly so don’t know what ammo mine will like.

Yea, KIDD claims to guarantee 1/2" at 50 yards with that barrel. So hopefully she works out. I think this is the best set up I could of had. I went with the magpul stock because I want to hunt with this rifle also. If it was just bench I would of used a chassis of some type.

I dont think there are many parts to upgrade even. It will be about finding ammo it likes.

Haha, yes I agree with the rings. I had those laying around. Ill be off to get some lows today instead of extra highs lmao.

BEAUTIFUL rifle CK, you have to be thrilled with how that came together. I'm interested in hearing how it shoots for you, especially when it gets out hunting!

Looks great.
I am very happy with my DAR 22 in a lightweight Blackhawk Axiom stock so it can serve double duty as a shooter for the kids. I used a 12.5" Dlask barrel and have tested a pile of different ammo. Mine likes CCI standard velocity and Eley club. Both chrony around 1060-1070 fps. I am very happy with the accuracy and quality.
Enjoy that beautiful rifle, I'm sure it'll impress.

Got my LOW rings today. Fits nice...

Picked up some

SK Rifle Match
Eley Edge
Hornady Varmint Express (when did they start making 22lr rounds?! Had to try out!)

Hopefully it is decent right off the start. I may end up taking out the barrel support ring if I do not like the accuracy I am getting. Thus free floating the barrel. As it sits right now it is not.

I quickly ran some groups at 100 yards with a stock 10/22 and a Timney trigger using CCI SV (paper boxes and plastic trays), Eley Team and Federal Match (RWS).

10 round groups were just over 2". One group with 9 shots was 1.7".

Try some at 100 too pleas.

Cool looking rifle, cant wait to see the range report. Watch out for that accuracy bug, it's got a nasty bite and 1/2" at 50 yards soon becomes boring

Hahaha, well I hit the 1/2 with a bolt. Could do it all day long with my annie and the ammo it liked.

So I decided to up the anti by hitting it with a semi auto rifle.

Yes the next step will be 1/4 at 50 but that will be with a new BR annie in a year or so lol.

I can definitely do that!

That result is similar to what my old Cooey 600 gets at 100 yards with standard velocity cci

^there was a thread about that recently, I replied to it..speculating about how close to an existing CCI load it might be. (Considering CCI load Hornady HMR and 17M2) Curious where you got it and naturally...how well it shoots. Please post some photos!

I did something similar except I used the Dlask DAR-22 with build in 20 MOA rail, it would be easy for me to engae target at 300 meters.

Nice build by the way, I don't know that Magpul stock is really looking good in long barrel 10/22. I had two but both are SBR build.

Looking very slick. I'm still working on my target 10/22, just waiting for the "Gun Fund" to top up a bit more. Keep us updated on the results.

Interesting I did not know that. I Will definitely post photo results!

Thats I think the magpul is a good choice budget wise and ergo wise.

Really nice build! Would you mind giving a ballpark as to how much you spent?

About what a ANSCHUTZ 64 MP R would run you. It was actually cheaper then the MPR before tax and shipping but hardly.

Right around 1700 to my door.

You show great taste in the choices for your build. I would love to do almost the same. May be a different stock for me.
I love my Kidd barrel.
Have fun!:)

Thanks! I went with the Magpul because I plan on hunting with this rifle and target shooting.

The magpul has better ergos then the HOUGE that usually comes with, more options with the M lock then a traditional wood rifle stock. If I was just target shooting I would have got a chassis system such as the MDT 1022 chassis.

With the magpul I can still adjust everything to what I require. Also it has a barrel "ring" support. If it shoots well with the barrel support then awesome! If it doesn't, then I will take it out and free float it.

Nice looking rifle. Good luck with the challenge.

I'm personally a die-hard, bolt-gun-guy...so I want CK to be PRETTY successful with this gun..but you know. :)

Hey CK~what's the deal on that Hornady 22LR ammo? Where did you find that? I don't even see it on Hornady's site. Maybe I wasn't looking close enough. :)
